barbie glamourI’ve been trying to convince Barbie that it’s time for her to finally do that one woman show she’s always talking about. At 51 today, she’s not getting any younger and there’s so much she can still give us.

I’ve suggested a big, old-fashioned review, and think we should pitch it to the big casinos as a throwback to the golden age of Vegas. Something with a lot of glamour and class. Dancing girls. Maybe some ostriches.

barbie kenKen wants her to do “Barbie on Broadway,” featuring songs made famous by Babs Striesand, Celine Dion and Judy Garland. Skipper hates that idea with a passion, but Ken has a way of convincing Barbie.

barbie skipperSkipper would prefer her big sis do a casual tour of small clubs. You know, acoustic guitars and patchouli. Flowers in her hair. Paisley and tie-dye. Skipper’s a sucker for the early seventies, but I can’t fault her for that. I’m a sucker for the seventies too. And for ostriches.

So let’s hear your thoughts… where would you like to see Barbie? Vegas? Broadway? Acoustic club?
