Thanks to ESPN’s fantastic Playoff Machine, I can now boldly predict that Super Bowl XLVII will be a showdown between the Atlanta Falcons (15-1) and the Denver Broncos (13-3). In the AFC, Houston and Denver will take the first week of the post-season off, while New England beats Pittsburgh in Foxborough and Cincinnati gets beat in Baltimore.  Houston will beat New England, Denver will beat Baltimore, and then Payton Manning will prevail and take the Bronco’s into the Super Bowl. In the NFC wildcard games, the Saints(!) will lose to the Bears and the Giants will be upset by the Packers. The Bears will knock off  the 2nd seed 49ers, while the Falcons will survive the Packers and then take the Bears down, in the Georgia Dome, in a close game.

The Super Bowl will then be a rematch of the week 2 Monday night game, and the Falcons will prevail.  You read it here first. Got a different opinion? Leave a comment.
