• Four Reasons I Worry

coffeeIt’s Sunday morning. I’m still in my pajamas, drinking coffee, reading the news online (of course). There is so much going on in the world, and even more kicking around inside my skull. I am jumpy. I am worried. I am a nervous wreck. And in just a few paragraphs, you’ll understand why.

First off, let me assure you, I’m not trying to get your sympathies. I know you’ve got your own problems. Believe me, I hear things. But let’s not talk about you, let’s talk about me.

So, for example, I have this friend. Let’s call him Craig. We work together. I made a mistake the other day by reading some of his work. Now I have to work harder.

oscarsNext, the Academy Awards are tonight. Not only was I not nominated for ANYTHING at all this year, I wasn’t even asked to present an award. This is, in my mind, a scandal to rival anything in the world of entertainment. I mean, look at that face! The wry grin. The five o’clock shadow, which is modeled after Clooney. You’d think the Academy would at least offer me a special award for my mad photoshop skillz.

Also, I haven’t been to see Alice in Wonderland yet, and I’m worried it may not be the best movie of all time like I so blithely predicted. I’m worried people will blame me if they went to see it and don’t like it. Worried, worried, worried.

More importantly, SXSW begins Friday, and I haven’t even begun to figure out what I want to see and do. I take that back, I do know I want to see Cannibal Girls at 11:30pm on Saturday at the Alamo Ritz 2 and MacGruber on the 15th at 9:30pm at the Paramount. But, do I go hear Saint Motel on the 18th at Rusty Spurs, or Fred Cole and Pierced Arrows at Red 7 Patio? How can I possible make a choice between these two?

How would you decide? What is on your radar for SXSW? Are you going, or hiding from it? Share your thoughts here or on the Facebook Fan page. And if you do go, make sure to take photos and follow us on Twitter so we can follow you back!

    • Yes, that’s my picture
    • Yes that’s my name.
    • No, I’m not that guy. Or should I say, he’s not me.
    • I wasn’t actually on CNN.
    • No, I don’t have “mad” photoshop skillz.
    • Yes I meant to spell skillz with a z. It’s the way we photoshop kidz spellz it.
