seussI celebrate Seuss on the day of his birth
I celebrate Seuss for all he was worth
I celebrate Seuss with candles and crackers
With Lorax and Sneetches and Humpleback Packlers

Doctor Seuss was born in 1904
I know you think you’ve heard that before
He wrote his first book when age thirty-three
So many more would soon come to be

If you listen quite well, you will most clearly hear
Every Who down in Whoville give up a Cheer
For even the Grinch must grin for a while
In mem’ry of Seuss, who made us all smile
