• When Good Movies Get Mixed Up

    It happens in Hollywood pitch meetings all the time. A writer, desperate for work, tries to sell his next script.

    Writer: It’s sort of like Die Hard meets Avatar with a When Harry Met Sally vibe.

    Studio Executive: Um, no. Anything else?

    Writer: Well, um. Yeah, how about this… the story of a young witch who goes off to teach in one of the most dangerous schools in the world.

    Studio Executive: Hmm… interesting…. I can see it now.

    I don’t know about you, but I’d pay to see that one!

As a Senior Producer at CNN International, he examined the future of technology with dozens of brilliant scientists, philosophers and entrepreneurs on the acclaimed series Future Summit. Before that, in the CNN International newsroom, he helped lead the production of award winning coverage of news like the 9/11 attacks, the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq, and the devastating 2004 tsunami in Asia.
